Experience: Jason’s banking career began in 1990 at the former Red River Valley Bank in Bossier City (currently a part of JP Morgan Chase). He joined Bonvenu Bank in 1994 as Assistant Vice President and served in various areas of increasing responsibility until being named President and CEO in April of 2016. Jason is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bonvenu Bancorp, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary Bonvenu Bank, N.A. He serves both Companies as a member of their Boards of Directors.

In addition to his role with Bonvenu Bank, Jason has served the Banking Industry through various opportunities with the Louisiana Bankers Association; including President of the Louisiana Bankers Education Council, as a member of the LBA Government Relations Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Bankers Association. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Louisiana Bankers Association.
Education: Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Finance (1990) and his Masters of Business Administration (1995) from Louisiana Tech University. He is also a graduate of the ABA School of Commercial Lending at the University of Oklahoma and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Jason achieved the designation of Certified Public Accountant in 1999 and currently maintains the designation of CPA (inactive) from the Louisiana State Board of CPAs. He was designated a Certified Community Bank Director by the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in 2018.
Personal Achievements: Jason has served his community in a number of ways during his career. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce from 2006 to 2015 and served as Chairman of its Board of Directors in 2013. He served on the founding Board of Directors of the Shreveport Bossier Business Alliance for Higher Education and served as a trustee of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Jason is also the founding President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Airline High School Alumni and Friends Foundation, Inc.
Jason is a member of both the Shreveport Bossier City Committee of 100 and the Louisiana Committee of 100. He also serves as member of La Tech’s – College of Business, Student Investment Fund Advisory Board. He has been instrumental working with College of Business leadership on organizing the Louisiana Tech School of Banking and served as the Banking School’s Advisory Board Chairman. Jason joined the Board of Directors of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and served as its Vice Chair – Economic Development for 2024 and currently serves as Vice Chair - Membership. Additionally, he has authored work in the American Bankers Association Journal and taught a multitude of financial literacy classes to adults and students of all ages.
Jason is married to the former Kimmie Farrar. Kimmie is the Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade Elementary Supervisor for Curriculum and Guidance in Bossier Parish and they have three children Audrey, Addyson and Austin. Jason enjoys running and golf when time allows. While attending Louisiana Tech University he was initiated (HZ642) as a member of the Eta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He currently serves as the Alumni Chapter’s Commander and was recognized by Sigma Nu National Fraternity as Alumni Chapter Officer of the Year for 2021. Smith’s wife Kimmie is a Sigma Kappa from Louisiana Tech and a member of the class of 1993.
Experience: Bill has 36 years of experience in education that was almost entirely with the Bossier Parish School System. He served in a number of roles including teaching and school administration and spent the last 15 years as school system Technology Director managing one of the largest technology enterprises in northwest Louisiana. During his time as Technology Director, he participated in the planning and deployment of technology infrastructure in numerous building projects along with additional hardware and software deployments throughout the district. Upon retirement from education, Bill provided IT consulting services initially before joining Bonvenu Bank as a consultant.
Education: Bill attended Louisiana Tech University where he received B.A. and M.A. in education with additional certification in administration and supervision.
Experience: Dawn has worked in the banking industry for over 30 years and has acquired extensive experience in building shareholder value. She has proven success in directing strategies within multiple functional areas including strategic planning, digital delivery, operations, technology, compliance, product and project management, and risk management with banks ranging in assets from $500 million to $120 billion.
Education: Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also a graduate of the LSU Graduate School of Banking in Baton Rouge, LA.
Personal Achievements: Dawn serves her community by participating in Habitat for Humanity and serving on various United Way committees.
Experience: Charles has over 45 years of experience in the banking industry. He began his banking career with Commercial National Bank in the branch system loan department. He has been involved in business banking since 1994 serving as a Vice President and commercial loan officer for Hibernia, Regions, and Ouachita banks in North Louisiana.
Education: Charles received his B.S. degree in business administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 1978
Personal Achievements: Currently, Charles is Treasurer of the Red River Valley Association and serves as a board member on the NLEP. He also is a member and past President of the Rotary Club of South Shreveport
Experience: Clint brings over 15 years of accounting experience to his role at Bonveu Bank. Prior to joining the bank, he served as Tax Manager of RBM, LLP, a local CPA firm in Northwest Louisiana.
Education: Clint attended Louisiana Tech University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a graduate of The Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU in Dallas, TX. Clint lives in Shreveport with his wife and two daughters.
Personal Achievements: Clint grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, and serves the community by volunteering with various nonprofit organizations.
Experience: Frances has a banking career that spans over 35 years. She began as a part-time employee with First Commerce Corp. while attending college and upon graduation was offered a full time position with them as a lending support specialist in the commercial lending division. Two years later she was promoted to management.
In 1995 Frances relocated to Baton Rouge, LA and was offered a management position at First Commerce’s subsidiary, City National Bank. She then spent the next 15 years working for City National, (which was acquired by Bank One in 2000), Whitney National Bank and later American Gateway Bank as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking.
In 2010, Frances relocated to Shreveport, LA and spent the next 9 years at Ouachita Independent Bank (acquired by BancorpSouth in 2018) as Vice President of Retail Loan Production for the NW and NE Louisiana markets.
Upon her departure from BancorpSouth, Frances joined Bonvenu Bank as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking. During her time with Bonvenu Bank, Frances has been instrumental in implementing a sales and service process that will move the bank into the next phase of growth.
Education: Frances received her B.A. degree in 1994 from the University of New Orleans.
Personal Achievements: Frances has served the communities she lived in through active volunteerism in various non-profit organizations including Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Go Red for Women and St. Joseph Catholic School PTO
Experience: Jim’s extensive banking career spans over 45 years. He started as a credit manager before moving to commercial lending and business development in the Metairie area. Within a few years, Jim advanced to Vice President at Merchants Bank and Trust and then was promoted to a Senior Vice President at First National Bank of Jefferson. Starting in 1987, Jim organized Omni Bank and served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer until it was acquired by Iberia Bank in 2011. At that time Iberia Bank named Jim their EVP and Chairman of the Southeast Region-Louisiana. During 2015, Jim moved to First National Bankers Bank and served as the President and Chief Executive Officer until March 2021. In May, he joined Bonvenu Bank to develop the New Orleans region.
Education: Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of New Orleans 1977. In 1981 Jim received a diploma from the National Graduate School of Commercial Lending.
Personal Achievements: As a New Orleans native, Jim is currently a member of the Discovery Health Science Foundation Academy and the Jefferson Community Foundation. Hudson is also the past Chairman of the boards of Community Bankers of Louisiana, Greater New Orleans, Inc., the Jefferson Business Council, and the East Jefferson General Hospital Board.
Experience: Scott has been in the banking industry in Louisiana for 38 years with extensive executive experience in strategic leadership, business operation, business development, credit leadership, and community engagement.
Scott began his career as an internal auditor with Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans and developed through credit analysis, national accounts relationship management and special assets. In 1997, Scott moved to Baton Rouge to lead the business banking team and assume leadership of additional markets throughout south Louisiana. Hibernia was acquired by Capital One in 2005 and Scott was named Louisiana Group Executive for the state of Louisiana ultimately leaving Capital One in 2013 to continue his career in the community banking arena. He was with Hibernia/Capital One for 25 years collectively.
Scott joined Home Bank in Lafayette, Louisiana as Chief Banking Officer responsible for all production areas of the bank (Commercial, Retail, Mortgage). He was instrumental in enabling Home Bank to grow assets from $975 million to $2.5 billion over years with several strategic enhancements to bank performance. Scott subsequently moved to Houston, TX to join Veritex Community Bank as an EVP in Credit Administration and, in late 2022, returned to Louisiana to join Bonvenu Bank as Chief Risk Officer with strategic engagement around process enhancement and growth.
Personal Achievements: Scott has served on many Boards throughout his career and will continue to help our community flourish.
